Philip’s Smartimer® Technology encourages Doctor recommended 2-minute brushing time

Your Philips HX6902/10 Soincare toothbrush comes with smartimer, which encourages 2-minute brushing as recommended by dental professionals. The Smartimer automatically stops your Sonicare toothbrush after the dentist-recommended brushing time of 2 minutes has elapsed. If you switch the toothbrush off at any time during the brushing cycle, for instance to rinse or apply more toothpaste, the Smartimer interrupts its timing and resumes where it left off when you switch the appliance back on again.

Although a 2-minute brushing session is recommended for optimal results, you can always stop or restart the toothbrush at any time by pressing the power button. When the handle is placed in the charger, the Smartimer automatically resets to ensure a complete 2-minute brushing cycle the next time you use it. The Smartimer also resets itself if you stop your Sonicare toothbrush for more than 45 seconds.

The Sonicare Flexcare is simply the very best that money can buy in sonic toothbrushes. Again it comes down to whether you prefer a rotary oscillating type or a sonic, the clinical studies show that they are both as effective as each other technically but it is down to personal preference as to which removes more plaque - so if you prefer the sonic type you will brush longer and therefore achieve a cleaner mouth.

We can't recommend this brush highly enough - the clean feeling you get is fantastic and the many routines/cleaning modes are a plus. It holds it's charge well (and has light indicators to show you how much charge is left), looks good in the bathroom and the gentle power increase over the first 14 uses is a clever inclusion as sonic brushes do take a bit of getting used to at first.
